Nnnoo! Say it ain't so..

It is with a heavy heart that I must bring to you some news, ladies.  According to People, Supernatural super-hottie Jensen Ackles, age 32, tied the knot Saturday in Dallas with his long time sweetie Daneel Harris, 31.  They refer to it as a "match made in CW heaven" as both are well known for their parts on popular CW shows:  Jensen for Supernatural and Daneel for One Tree Hill.  The couple dated for three years, and costarred in the romantic comedy Ten Inch Hero (2007), and were engaged in November.

I suppose he forgot he proposed to me.  It still counts if it took place in my dreams, right?  Now I do not have a single Supernatural hunk to fall back on as Jared Padalecki spoke his vows a few months back to Genevieve Cortese.

Oh well.  C'est la vie.  Truthfully, I do wish both men tons of happiness in their careers and relationships.  They deserve it.  They are both Texas boys, afterall.  Not that boys from other parts of the country do not deserve the same things.

OCD Hysteria: As Good As It Gets (1997)

Whenever I think of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in terms of movies, Jack Nicholson comes to mind and his rendition of Melvin Udall in As Good As It Gets.  He seems to have his performance down of this pattern-prone anxious man, and is the vision of what happens when you get between the poor sufferers of this disorder and the pattern they feel they must keep to in order to remain calm.  The man makes you cringe when he throws a hissy fit, but makes it funny, too.

How would you like to have to go through something like this all the time?

Schizo-Mania: Donnie Darko (2001)

It is shameful to confess this, but I am sure all my fellow movie obsessed friends have had moments such as these when it takes you longer than some to see a film.  Today..I..Syna..  finally saw Donnie Darko, and now I am a Darko-Ho.  Jake Gyllenhaal, will you marry me?!!  Okay, I am alright now.  This was a psychedelic roller coaster!  Perfect for fans of time traveling plots with a psychological twist.  I can certainly see why this has gained such a cult classic following.  The effects and plot twists were phenomenal.  Check out the scene below where Frank has a little talk with Donnie at the movies.  Creepy!

Remake Hell: Independence Day 2

Seriously?  You have got to be kidding me.  I was going through various sites finding all the remake possibilities we might see in the future.  I loved the first one..but it is one of those movies you do not necessarily see as a sequel.  They may kill it before it gets a good running start, but right now it is still in development and may possibly be seen in 2013 given the right writer and staff.  All I can say is if they do not get Will Smith, which they probably won't, it will not work. 

Sassy Southern Mama: The Blind Side (2009)

While it is not exactly a mental disorder to be a "Sassy Southern" girl, you have to admit we are pretty crazy sometimes girls.  Sandra Bullock killed as Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side.  She made the movie as the tough as nails, well-to-do Southern mother.  You really see her letting her roots show in this one.  I highly recommend this movie if you have not seen it.

Narcissist Supreme: The Red Queen (Alice in Wonderland: 2010)

Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter made the new Alice in Wonderland.  Even if you did not care for it too much, you have to give those two props or OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!  I am just kidding.  My readers make this all worth it. 

The Red Queen is a violent, dominant tyrant whose ego is so big that her enormous head can barely contain her sense of self righteousness.  She is not exactly the woman you want to be hanging out with, but Hel-Bo makes her character in a standout, tickle-your-funny-bone performance.

New Moon Question??

I was just curious to know who attended the release parties last night, and who already has their copies.  I know I have mine!  However, don't hold it against me for not going out there with the masses to get it at midnight.  My place of choice?  Barnes and Noble in Humble, TX this afternoon.  The copy has this cute little dreamcatcher bag charm thing.  We will be talking about other movies soon, I swear.  It's release day, though, and you have to give me the chance to act like a crazy fan!  Just FYI: We will be starting to have giveaways/contests for those who would help make the site a success.  Sure, we can waste money on advertising, but why line the advertisers pockets when we could line your DVD players for helping spread the word!

Corey Haim Found Dead

Most of you know by now that Corey Haim was found dead this morning from what they say could be a drug overdose, but we do not know for sure until the coroner's report comes back.  However, I think I can speak for everyone when I say RIP COREY!  My condolences to the family, and his many friends.

I'm so sad!  All my childhood crushes are dying! 

I found this video on YouTube, and thought it was a fitting way to smile through the sadness.  It was the cutest part of The Lost Boys!
